Thanks to AVHC volunteer Doug Bahun, all the surplus books have been cleared out from the first and second floors of the building! Over the years we’ve given books away, had sales at the PFF etc., but it would have taken forever to move all these. Doug contacted Chip Houghten of “Look at a Book”, and with the help of four instructors and the students of the Aerospace School of Medicine Public Health Department at Wright-Patterson AFB, all the books were loaded on the truck in less than an hour. Some of the books will be sold (with the money going back to the AVHC), some will be given to literacy groups, and the rest recycled. Now we can begin using more of our scarce floor space – thanks for leading the charge on this project Doug!
