We exist to raise awareness for our cause and bring change to our community. With your help we can make a difference. Learn more and get involved.

The American Veterans Heritage Center (AVHC) is an independent nonprofit (501C3) organization founded to preserve the history of the Dayton VA Campus, first known as the "Soldiers Home," and to raise awareness of veterans contributions and patriotism.  AVHC's main focus is the restoration of the Dayton Soldier's Home historic facilities on the Dayton VA Campus.

AVHC started with raising funds to repair and restore the 1868 Home Chapel.  We are dedicated to promote, advocate and support other PROJECTS on the Dayton VA Campus.  Another big effort was to restore the GROTTO GARDENS to its former glory.  The Grotto Gardens Team just celebrated 10 years in 2023 with a celebration in the Gardens.

Our current major project is placing a LINCOLN STATUE and Park at the corner of Kentucky Ave. and Ohio Ave. next to the historic Putnam Library, (Bldg. 120).  AVHC has partnered with the Lincoln Society in this effort.  The Lincoln Statue and Park fundraising effort is ongoing and  still in need of support.  Please see the Lincoln Statue page.

We have a YouTube Channel, where you can see our videos.  Please see AMERICAN VETERANS HERITAGE CENTER YOUTUBE VIDEOS

We are also working to support the National VA History Center Foundation.  For more information, please see the link:
